Life is BUSY, isn't it? Between doctor, dentist and vet visits, car appointments, school dates, outings and travel dates -- my mind is in a constant jumble, trying to keep track of it all.
I had been fighting the inevitable for the past year, but finally caved and put up a 'communication center' in my house, to keep my family more organized.
I was apprehensive about the idea for one reason, and one reason only: clutter. I. HATE. clutter. The idea of having little scraps of note paper, mail and reminders out in the open, gave me this awkward anxiety that I just can't begin to explain.
But, after a bit of brainstorming, I came up with a solution that doesn't take up a lot of space, is practical (for us)... oh, and it looks pretty, too!
PRACTICAL AND PRETTY
Since the communication center is mounted on the wall, the clutter is kept to a minimum. Important dates are written directly onto the calendar to avoid papers from piling up.
The key is to keep up with updating the calendar as often as possible, and writing things down regardless of how insignificant it might seem. Obviously, checking it everyday, helps too :)
How do you keep yourself and your family organized?
